Encounter Data Processing Tier 2 - Plan Testing

CMS would like to remind MAOs and other entities that the Encounter Data Processing System (EDPS) began Tier 2- Plan Testing on March 15, 2012.  Tier 2 testing allows MAOs and other entities to send up to 2,000 additional encounters to provide them with an opportunity to test a more inclusive sampling of their  data.

MAOs and other entities are reminded:

• End-to-End system certification does not have to be complete prior to initiating Tier 2- Plan Testing.
• The encounters submitted for Tier 2 testing must comply with the TR3, CMS edits spreadsheet and Encounter Data Companion Guide.
